Hi everyone! This is the thread which will be used by those who supported the compo and therefore are judges to cast their votes Remember you have time until 14th April to do so remember also there is a prefixed way of voting that you can check in the general rules thread. Good luck to all!
Rabbit in Nightmareland At first sight it is yet another Manic Miner clone but second sight reveals nice touches borrowed from exploratory platformers (and maybe Donnie Darko). And it is hard. What I really love on this game is graphics that fits game so well. What I miss is redefinable input.
Complica DX Logical game with Bifrost multicolor engine. It is technically very impressive, one can see multicolor, AI, nice graphics and music but... it is not fun, it lacks drive and challenge and it is great technological demo but weak game.
Jumpcollison A bit different shmup. Speaking of technical level it is not the best entry but it has right portion of exploding pixels and sound effects. That makes me happy. What makes me less happy is sprite collision routine that is equally unfair to me and enemies.
Cuboid Cryptor Okayish. I had bit problem understanding game mechanics (that damn yellow thing skips walls!!!). I appreciate big sprites that do not fear to use colors and target platform being 16K model and quick gameplay once I get used to game.
Castaway Game has nice graphic but not truly outstanding. There is great menu tune and big number of sound effects - I really like the attention given to fx. While playing there were moments I would appreciate better tuned controls.
Here's hoping we see a full voting thread by the 14th (although I appreciate that since all the games have their own merits, its a hard task to play/review them all thoroughly and give each their fair scores!)
